Girls Circle is held one time a week, 9 girls in each group, 3 groups
offered each year. Talk to the school counselor, Mrs. Kaiser, to get
involved with an upcoming group.
High School
Girls Circle is held one time a week, 9 girls in each group, 2 groups
offered each year at this time. Talk to either of the school counselors,
Mrs. Marvis or Mrs. Rhodes to get involved .

Youth In Action Youth In Action
meets two times a month during lunch at Tillamook
High School. This is a student
led group against underage drinking, drug and tobacco use.
Students who know how to party safe and sober. You're invited to
attend any meeting and get involved!
2008-2009 Projects
Poster Contest Open to all high school students. Winner’s art will be placed on a local billboard or made into a movie trailer at the local movie theatre. The art must be a message to the students and community of Tillamook about the dangers of underage drinking, drug or tobacco use.
Too Smart To Start Carnival This fun carnival was held at the East Elementary School back on May 29th and was put on by
Youth In Action against drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, for all of the students at East Elementary School.
Too Smart To Start is not only about fun, but is also about making safe choices, knowing who to call for help, and remembering that they are
Too Smart To Start alcohol, tobacco, and/or drugs.
2010-2011 Projects
Minor Decoy Business Awards Students invited all businesses who
successfully passed the minor decoy operations (not selling alcohol to a minor)
to the Pacific City commissioners meeting. At the meeting, students gave
certificates of appreciation & publicly thanked each business (the event
was televised).
Friday Fun Night Students planned a junior high
alcohol-tobacco-drug free event at the local YMCA. Over 50 students enjoyed the
fun event.
T-shirts Students designed youth-in-action t-shirts. The
t-shirts were handed out at the Huckleberry Health Fair booth in August.
